Wednesday, 23 September 2026, FIGHT CLUB CDMX brought a little bit of Tulum to Mexico City.

The BEACH AFTER WORK NETWORKING PARTY transformed a brand-new venue between Roma and Condesa into an after-work networking experience built around good music, drinks, conversations, professional portraits and a carefully curated crowd.

The idea was simple: create an environment where people could meet interesting humans without feeling like they had walked into a traditional networking event.

And it worked.

WEDNESDAY IS THE NEW THURSDAY

There are networking events where you arrive, exchange business cards, ask what someone does and move on to the next person.

And then there are evenings where you simply have a great time — and networking happens naturally.

Beach After Work was designed for the second kind.

The venue was only a few months old, with a covered terrace, lounge atmosphere and a relaxed Tulum-inspired feeling.

For one evening, it became an exclusive FIGHT CLUB CDMX space.

The goal wasn't to create a nightclub.

It wasn't to create a formal business event.

It was to create a place where people could actually talk.

A TULUM EVENING IN THE MIDDLE OF MEXICO CITY

The concept mixed the atmosphere of an evening in Tulum with the energy of Mexico City.

Lounge music.

Drinks.

Food.

Summer-style outfits.

A beautiful terrace.

And people from completely different professional and personal backgrounds.

The location between Roma and Condesa made it easy to come straight from work, while the atmosphere made it feel like the workday was already very far away.

By the time people arrived, Wednesday had started feeling a lot more like Thursday.

PROFESSIONAL PORTRAITS BEFORE THE PARTY

The evening started with an early-arrival window from 19:00 to 19:45.

Instead of simply waiting for everyone to arrive, FIGHT CLUB added another reason to come early: professional portrait sessions.

Attendees could get photographed while meeting the first people arriving at the event.

It turned the usual awkward “first 30 minutes of networking” into something more social and relaxed.

And, of course, having a professional photographer around meant people had another reason to dress up.

NETWORKING WITHOUT SHOUTING

One of the most deliberate choices was the music.

No club music.

No extremely loud speakers.

No shouting into someone's ear to have a conversation.

The evening was built around lounge music — enough atmosphere to make the venue feel alive, but quiet enough that people could actually hear one another.

That matters.

Because networking is ultimately about conversation.

And conversation is much easier when you can actually hear the person standing in front of you.

THE FIGHT CLUB CDMX AI CONNECTOR

The networking didn't start when people entered the venue.

It started before.

Everyone at the event received access to the FIGHT CLUB AI Connector Bot on WhatsApp, designed to help attendees discover other people from the event.

Before the event, people could see who was coming.

During the evening, the connector could help identify people they should meet.

And after the event, the connection could continue.

That solves one of the classic problems of networking events:

“Damn, I should have talked to that person.”

With the connector, there was still a chance to find them.

It meant networking wasn't limited to the four hours people spent physically inside the venue.

A CURATED CROWD

The event was designed for approximately 100–150 founders, CEOs, entrepreneurs, investors, executives, creatives, expats and international professionals.

The important part wasn't simply the number.

It was the mix.

Mexican and international professionals.

Startup founders and corporate executives.

Creative people and technology professionals.

Entrepreneurs and people who had recently moved to Mexico City.

Different industries.

Different countries.

Different reasons for being there.

But one shared environment.

THE EXPERIENCE

The evening followed a simple flow.

19:00–19:45 — EARLY ARRIVAL + PORTRAITS

People arrived, got their first drinks, met the early crowd and had professional portraits taken.

19:45–21:30 — NETWORKING & LOUNGE

The main networking period combined conversations, drinks, food and lounge music.

No formal presentations.

No panels.

No forced introductions.

Just people meeting people.

21:30–23:00 — BEACH AFTER WORK

The networking continued as the evening became more relaxed.

The music stayed on.

The drinks continued.

And Wednesday officially stopped feeling like Wednesday.

WHY THIS KIND OF NETWORKING WORKS

The best networking environments don't necessarily feel like networking.

When people are relaxed, dressed differently from their usual office environment and sharing an interesting experience, conversations become more natural.

You don't necessarily start with:

“What do you do?”

You might start with the venue.

The music.

Mexico City.

Travel.

The photographer.

Someone's outfit.

A drink.

A shared connection.

And then, eventually, you discover what the other person actually does.

That difference is important.

The business conversation doesn't disappear.

It simply doesn't have to happen in the first 30 seconds.

NETWORKING BEYOND LINKEDIN

FIGHT CLUB CDMX has always been about meeting people in real life.

But the Beach After Work event also showed how technology can support offline community without replacing it.

The AI Connector helps people discover relevant connections.

The event gives them the physical environment to actually meet.

And the community gives them a way to stay connected afterwards.

Technology finds the connection.
The event creates the experience.
People create the relationship.

MORE THAN AN AFTER-WORK PARTY

Beach After Work wasn't designed as a traditional business conference.

There were no speeches.

No presentations.

No pitches.

No corporate booths.

Instead, it was an evening built around a simple idea:

Give interesting people a good environment and let them talk.

Sometimes that's enough.

A DIFFERENT KIND OF WEDNESDAY

By 23:00, the official event was over.

But for many people, the interesting part was just beginning.

New contacts.

New friends.

Potential collaborations.

People discovering they had more in common than they expected.

And a few professional portraits to remember the evening by.

That's the FIGHT CLUB CDMX approach to networking:

less pressure, more experience.

Less “networking event”.

More “let's have a great evening and see who we meet.”

ABOUT FIGHT CLUB CDMX

FIGHT CLUB CDMX is a Mexico City networking community connecting founders, entrepreneurs, investors, executives, creatives, international professionals and people simply looking to meet interesting humans.

Its events range from parties and cultural experiences to hiking, golf, art, food and other unexpected formats.

The common idea is simple:

Human first. Money later.

Because the best professional relationships often start with simply enjoying the same experience.
