Looking Back at Our Networking Evening in Roma Norte, CDMX
Every FIGHT CLUB CDMX event starts with the same question:
How can we make networking feel less like networking?
On Wednesday, 22 July 2026, we answered that question again during Cocktails & Games Networking: New Day, New Dawn.
Instead of business cards, elevator pitches and awkward introductions, we filled the evening with games, group challenges, brainstorming activities and cocktails. Something interesting always happens when people stop trying to network and simply start interacting.
And that's exactly the point.
Why We Created This Event
Most networking events expect people to make meaningful connections within the first thirty seconds of meeting.
We don't.
At FIGHT CLUB CDMX, we believe the strongest professional relationships usually begin naturally. Sometimes while solving a challenge together. Sometimes while laughing over a game. Sometimes during a conversation that wasn't supposed to become important.
This edition was built around one simple idea:
A new day. A new dawn. A new chapter.
Half the year had already passed, making it the perfect moment to meet new people, exchange fresh ideas and create opportunities for whatever comes next.
Why Roma Norte?
There are many great places to host networking events in Mexico City, but Roma Norte continues to be one of our favourites.
Its cafés, architecture, creative energy and entrepreneurial community make it one of the best neighbourhoods in CDMX for meaningful conversations. It feels relaxed without losing its ambition—a place where ideas are just as likely to be shared over a cocktail as they are inside a boardroom.
It was the perfect backdrop for an evening focused on authentic human connection.
The Crowd
Like every FIGHT CLUB CDMX experience, the guest list was intentionally curated.
Throughout the evening, founders, CEOs, entrepreneurs, investors, operators, creatives, digital nomads and professionals from both Mexico and abroad mixed naturally through different games and activities.
Our community continues to be approximately 70% Mexican and 30% international, creating an environment where local knowledge meets global perspectives.
The event was held primarily in English, although conversations flowed freely in Spanish, French, German and Russian throughout the night.
Networking Without Small Talk
One of the biggest compliments we hear after our events is:
"I normally hate networking, but this didn't feel like networking."
That's exactly what we aim for.
Instead of forcing conversations, we design experiences that make them happen organically.
During the evening, guests rotated through interactive games, brainstorming exercises and collaborative challenges before settling into relaxed conversations that continued long after the activities ended.
People arrived as strangers.
Many left with new business contacts, future collaborators and, in several cases, new friends.
